This is the only original song on the album, and it is the heart of the whole project. I wrote this song together with René van Mierlo as a tribute to the great crooners who shaped me.
Every other song on this album is a classic that, in one way or another, left a mark on my life. They’re musical souvenirs: songs I picked up along the way, that moved me, inspired me, made me feel something memorable, and eventually helped me find my voice as an artist.

With Souvenirs, I’m singing to those legends. As a thank-you. For their style, their authenticity, their timeless sound. It’s my way of saying: your music still matters, and as long as I’m alive, I’ll keep singing along.
