I remember watching the movie 10 Things I Hate About You as a kid, with my brother. Heath Ledger’s character, walking the bleachers with a stolen mic, singing through the stadium speakers while being chased by security, trying to win over the girl he’s crazy about. That iconic scene stuck with me. Frankie Valli might not be your typical crooner, nor was Heath Ledger, but the song fits the crooner genre like a tailor-made suit.
For me, this song is a musical souvenir tied to a wonderful memory from my childhood. My version is built on that memory. A big band in full swing, staying true to the feel of the original by Frankie Valli, and with that Heath Ledger charm always in the back of my head.
